Therapy is like going to a doctor for your mind and emotions. It focuses on understanding and healing psychological issues, past traumas, and mental health conditions. As your therapist, I can diagnose and treat mental health conditions. In therapy, there is often a focus on exploring past experiences and how they may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in the present. Therapists help you understand the root causes of your current challenges, such as past traumas, childhood experiences, or patterns of thinking developed over time. By exploring the past, therapy can promote healing, increase self-awareness, and help you make sense of your life story.
As a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State, I am only able to provide therapy services to clients located within the state of Washington.
Coaching, on the other hand, looks more to the future. It’s like having a personal trainer for your life goals. It focuses on helping you achieve personal or professional goals, develop skills, and make positive changes in your life. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Instead, they help you identify your strengths and values, set meaningful goals, and create a plan to reach them. Coaching is often more action-oriented and future-focused, with an emphasis on accountability and personal growth.
I am available to coach clients located anywhere in the United States as well as internationally, providing services to individuals around the world.
